雨水
雪が雨へと変わり、降り積もった雪が解け出す季節。屋根から落ちた雫が、夜の冷気で再び凍りついています。溶けては凍り、また溶ける。「雨水」ならではのアートです。
朝日醸造
中津川の発酵文化を辿り、落合で「ゐくる」という名の味噌が作られていることを知りました。その文字の響きと、そこに込められた意志に惹かれ、落合へと向かいました。国道から旧道へ入ると、道はぐっと狭くなり、かつての宿場町の面影が色濃く残ります。せり出す松は、善昌寺の「門冠の松（もんかぶりのまつ）」でしょうか。その威厳ある姿は、地域を見守る長老のように、圧倒的な歴史の重みを主張しています。松をくぐり、子ども達の学び舎を越えた先に、「朝日醸造」はありました。
迎えてくださったのは、代表の大塚和歌子さん。ご自宅の池には山から水が引き込まれ、絶えず水の流れる音が響いています。この豊富な水こそが、落合の生命線です。ふと見れば、落ちる雪解けの雫が、水面に美しい波紋を描いていました。ここは、大塚さんが幼少期を過ごした場所でもあります。
「自分の家で作った味噌しか食べたことがなかったんです」
かつてこの集落には麹室（こうじむろ）があり、この時期になれば地域の人々が集まって味噌を仕込む「結（ゆい）」の風景が当たり前のようにあったそうです。
しかし、時代とともにその扉は閉じられ、醸造としての結はカタチを変える時がきました。そんな中、「この文化を残したい、ここで途絶えさせてはいけない」と大塚さんは立ち上がります。新しく建てられた工房には、再び「ろじ」が並び、木桶の中で菌たちが呼吸を始めています。
今、大塚さんが結ぼうとしているのは、母方から受け継いだ500年以上続く「醸造」という知恵。そして父方から受け継いだ、千数百年前から人々を癒やしてきた「ゐくる ゐくる」という祈りです。二つのルーツを統合し、共感する人々を巻き込んでいく。多くの人々の健康を願って綿々と続く祈りが、ここ落合で、再び結実しようとしています。
Rainwater
The season when snow turns to rain, and accumulated snow begins to melt. Droplets falling from the roof freeze again in the night’s chill. Melting and freezing, then melting again. This is the unique art of “Rainwater.”
Asahi Brewing
Following Nakatsugawa’s fermentation culture, we headed toward Ochiai.We were welcomed by Wakako Otsuka, the representative. Water drawn from the mountains flows into the pond at her home, its constant murmur echoing. This abundant water is Ochiai’s lifeline. Glancing up, I saw droplets of melting snow falling from the roof, creating beautiful ripples on the water’s surface. This is also where Ms. Otsuka spent her childhood.
“I had only ever eaten miso made at my own home.”
Once, this village had koji rooms. Around this time of year, it was commonplace to see the scene of “yui” – the community gathering to prepare miso together.However, as times changed, those doors closed, and the communal brewing tradition had to transform. Amidst this, Mr. Otsuka stood up, thinking, “I want to preserve this culture; it must not die here.” In the newly built workshop, “roji” (miso fermentation containers) are lined up once more, and within the wooden barrels, the microorganisms have begun to breathe.The unbroken prayer for the health of many people is about to bear fruit again here in Ochiai.
ゑなの結とは Enano Yui: What is it?
私たちは恵那山のふもとでフリーペーパーを発行している任意団体です。本当の意味で“誰一人取り残されない”のは季節の移り変わりではないでしょうか。また美しい自然から、地域の強みや魅力を教えられているのは、私たちだとも感じています。 心を豊かにするこの地域のひとときを二十四節氣とともに発信。そしてこの地のスタートアップから、インタビューや寄稿を通したコンテンツは、恵那山の頂きより「ヤッホー！」と叫ぶように、多くの人々に届いたらいいなと思っています。
We are a voluntary organization that publishes free papers at the foot of Mt. Ena. Isn't it the change of seasons that truly means that no one is left behind? I also feel that we are the ones who are taught the strengths and charms of the region by the beautiful nature. We will transmit a moment of this region that enriches the mind with 24 seasons. And I hope that the content through interviews and contributions from startups in this area will reach as many people as possible like shouting "Yo-ho!" from the top of Mt. Ena.
