啓蟄
雪が雨に変わり、季節がまた静かに動いています。二十四節気の一つ「啓蟄（けいちつ）」は文字通り、地中の虫が重い扉を啓（ひら）いて出てくる季節です。恵那山のふもとで暮らす私たちが待ちわびていた春の兆し。この時期に降る雨は、万物を慈しみ育む「慈雨」と呼ばれ、土の匂いとともにフキノトウがそっと顔を出しました。
串原七つの滝
春の訪れに誘われ、恵那市串原の七つの滝を目指しました。今回向かったのは「お軽の滝」。ここは大昔の地底の熱を閉じ込めた『流紋岩（りゅうもんがん）』という、黒く巨大な岩盤が剥き出しになった場所です。気の遠くなるような時間をかけて水が岩を削り、今の美しいカタチを造り上げました。
かつて地元の人しか知らなかったこの「七つの秘境」は、村の魅力を伝えたいという人々の手で、誰もが野生に触れられる道が拓（ひら）かれました。冬の間、氷に閉ざされていた滝の響きは、澄んだ硬い音から、雪解け水を含んだ太く、勢いのある音へと変わりました。絶え間ない飛沫（しぶき）で潤う岩肌にはいち早く青々とした苔がむし、柔らかくなった空気に虫たちも目を覚まします。
古くから日本では、滝そのものが信仰の対象でした。江戸時代、村を救うために身を捧げた「お軽」や、名もなき修行者たちがこの黒い岩盤にぶつけた祈りは、今の私たちが滝の前に立ったときに感じる『畏怖（いふ）』の中に、今も息づいているのを感じます。
「お軽の滝」には不動明王（ふどうみょうおう）が祀られています。仏教において非常に力強く、日本中で広く信仰されている仏様です。優しさだけでは救えない人々を、叱りつけてでも救済するために、あえて怖い姿になったといわれています。その姿は、黒い流紋岩の岩肌に同化し、ひっそりと、けれど確かにそこに鎮座しています。目を凝らし、耳を澄ます。滝の轟音の中で自分を慈しみ、お不動さんの「厳しい慈しみ」に触れるとき、私たちの中の扉もまた、静かに啓（ひら）かれるのかもしれません。
Keichisu
Snow turns to rain, and the seasons quietly shift once more. Kei-tsu, one of the twenty-four solar terms, is the season when insects beneath the earth open heavy doors and emerge. Along with the scent of soil, butterbur shoots gently peek out.
Kushihara’s Seven Waterfalls
Lured by spring’s arrival, I headed for the seven waterfalls of Kushihara in Ena City. This time, my destination was “Okaru Falls.” Here, massive black rock formations called rhyolite, which trapped ancient subterranean heat, lie exposed. Over unfathomable time, water carved through the rock, sculpting its present beautiful form.
The sound of the waterfall, frozen solid during winter, had transformed from a clear, crisp tone to a thick, powerful roar now carrying the meltwater. The rock face, constantly moist from the spray, was already covered in vibrant green moss, and insects awoke in the softened air.
Since ancient times in Japan, waterfalls themselves have been objects of worship. The prayers offered to these black rock walls by figures like “Okaru,” who sacrificed herself to save her village during the Edo period, and by nameless ascetics, still breathe within the awe we feel standing before the falls today.
ゑなの結とは Enano Yui: What is it?
私たちは恵那山のふもとでフリーペーパーを発行している任意団体です。本当の意味で“誰一人取り残されない”のは季節の移り変わりではないでしょうか。また美しい自然から、地域の強みや魅力を教えられているのは、私たちだとも感じています。 心を豊かにするこの地域のひとときを二十四節氣とともに発信。そしてこの地のスタートアップから、インタビューや寄稿を通したコンテンツは、恵那山の頂きより「ヤッホー！」と叫ぶように、多くの人々に届いたらいいなと思っています。
We are a voluntary organization that publishes free papers at the foot of Mt. Ena. Isn't it the change of seasons that truly means that no one is left behind? I also feel that we are the ones who are taught the strengths and charms of the region by the beautiful nature. We will transmit a moment of this region that enriches the mind with 24 seasons. And I hope that the content through interviews and contributions from startups in this area will reach as many people as possible like shouting "Yo-ho!" from the top of Mt. Ena.
